There is a Dead Like me Movie in the works right now starring all of the original cast members. The word is that it will go straight to DVD and not be featured in movie theaters but there are some folks within the inner sanctum of MGM that are trying to change that so watch for it! Either way this is good news as I believe the Character of Rube is the best character that Mandy Patinkin ever played www.tvsquad.com/2007/05/01/dead-like-me-goes-to-the-movies/

That is awesome! I just recently caught a marathon of it on Sci-Fi and then Nexflixed it. It is such an addictive show!

I've heard about this too.
Sooo psyched.
I got Ellen Muth's (pronounced Myooth) autograph last year at DragonCon and sat in on one of her Q and A panels. She was charming and hilarious and I LOVE THAT SHOW.

That was an awesome show! I only saw the last bit of her Q&A this year at DragonCon, but she seems pretty cool! That was the first time I heard about the movie, and I am really really looking forward to it.
This thread reminded me to look it up in IMDB... and it looks like Mandy is gone, and there is a new Daisy... *sob*.
I will give it a go though because Ellen and Callum are both there... that and its just an excellent premise!!

I didn't get her autograph or go to her Q and A but last year we saw her in the Chinese restaurant and I gawked at her for a whole 5-10 minutes at least. It was sheer awesomeness! Melissa

Awesome news! DLM is one of the best TV shows ever! If you like Bryan Fuller's work you should also check out Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies, which is supposed to return next fall. Ginger Campbell, MD

Uhm...you do know that Rube isn't going to be in the movie, right? And for some reason, Laura Harris isn't playing Daisy in the movie. The rest of the cast is the same though.
After the departure of Rube Sofer, a new head reaper named Cameron Kane takes over. He's a slick businessman who couldn't care less about helping the newly dead. Chaos ensues and brings out the worst in Daisy and Mason who begin drinking anew. George and Reggie re-connect for the first time when George reaps a new friend of Reggie's.
