I keep meaning to be more involved in the Firefly fandom, I've just never known where to start! I'm kinda partial to recommending the podcasts (links below) as a great way to find out what's going on in the fandom. Two of the more popular forums are... www.fireflyfans.netwww.serenitymovie.org/browncoats/forums/index.phpMany newcomers to the fandom actually like to start with a local group also. Up in my area of the country the New England Browncoats are a very active group with over 400 members. We even let folks from outside of New England on our email list! tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/NE_Browncoats/The link below has listings for many local Browncoat groups if you'd like to find something in your area... www.bigdamnboard.com/websites/groups/Enjoy, Kevin

Hi y'all. I'm Kate or Berengaria-moderator of the "Angel" and "James Marsters" boards at Fan Forum. Needless to say,I'm over the moon already with the news that James will be attending again this year. Am looking forward to the announcements of who will be joining him. I've got a feeling that this year will really rock!

howdy back at ya browncoat1. Your screen name makes me think we should start a campaign to have Air Force One renamed BrownCoat One. Welcome Aboard. I'm feeling much love from the 76th Independents. Please post the URL to your website so we can visit -Wayne Browncoat One instead of Airforce one? Maybe the browncoats should just buy a 747 and make our own official transport. The 76th are all about love. Love and Firefly! Dragon Con will be our inaugral march and the launch of a fanbase costuming unit that I believe could one day rival the 501st. Yes, we dream big! Here is the link to our website: 76thbattalion.homestead.com/index.htmlOur messageboard is here: 76thbattalion.proboards59.com/index.cgi

Thanks for that Link! I see you got yourself some Karma there. I think I saw Wayne mention he was going to give you some but I can't recall. If whoever gave Karma to browncoat1 could pop over to the Karma thread in the FAQs section to let everyone know why, that would be great. It keeps people from abusing the system. I'm about to add something to the rules about that.

Hi there, I'm Jenn a.k.a. wife of Mr. Pretty Floral Bonnet from last year. I am SO looking forward to the Whedonverse track this year. I am a geek of all things Whedon - from Buffy, to Angel, to Firefly, to comics . . . whatever the case may be. I can't wait to catch up with everyone soon and have one hell of a good time come Labor day weekend!

Hi, all, I have to chime in with a "Me too! Me too!" This will be my first DragonCon experience and I'm really excited about it! Can't wait to meet all the Whedon-ites! ;D I'm hoping to come up with some kind of Buffy costume...guess I still have a little time.

After the events of Season seven Buffy costumes are super easy. Just come with some stakes and call yourself a slayer!

Good point, Skitty! Guess I won't need to spend much time thinking about a costume! Now I can focus on thinking about all the things to do -- meeting James, BHPS (which sounds absolutely great!), the Bronze -- plus all the Firefly events and everything else -- seems like it is going to be a very busy (and amazing) weekend! I just hope to fit in as much as possible (and make some new friends along the way)!
