I just wanted to take a moment to say hello to everyone. I am a first timer as well, and I am extremely excited. I am a fan(atic) of the Buffy/Angel side of the Whedonverse, and anywhere else James Marsters decides to be

Hi there and greetings from the Left Coast!
Yes, it's the fan who in defiance of the fact that she could not get to go to Comic-Con, which is right on her back doorstep, has decided to fly across country to Dragon*Con instead. Besides, y'all only get about 1/4 of the Unwashed Fanboi's that Comic-Con pulls in. :>
I had wanted to volunteer for some Firefly fan panels. I've sucessfully run the Firefly programming for LosCon (the Los Angeles regional con over Thanksgiving weekend) for the past several years.
Also, I have a few panel topics I'd like to pitch.
Pls. let me know if that is OK.
Thanks very much and really looking forward to D*Con! I was out there in '02 and really had a blast - way better than Comic-Con.

Hello everybody!
This is going to be my first trip to DragonCon, although I've been to several other conventions such as Farpoint and Shore Leave in Baltimore. I've heard that the SEBC table is the place to go and meet fellow Browncoats, so I'm definitely planning on stopping by.
I'm a fan of Buffy and Angel also, so the Whedon Track is probably where I'm going to be spending most of my time at DragonCon. I'm looking forward to meeting a whole bunch of you fine folks in just a little over a month. Stay shiny!

Welcome! We're always so glad to see people new to the convention! It makes me feel particularly warm and fuzzy that we've kept flying as long as we have. I know you're going to have a great time.

Great! :>
I'm coming in on the Friday, although that day is pretty much a Wash (arr arr) for me, as I'm coming from CA. Leaving on Monday.
I'll keep checking here and on the lj forum.
thanks!

Yes, I'll be in Atlanta for all 4 days. I don't want to miss a minute of DragonCon!
I've never sat on a panel before, but I would definitely be interested in doing so for some of the Whedon Universe panels. I'm mostly knowledgeable about Firefly, but I wouldn't have a problem sitting on Buffy or Angel panels.
And I'll let you know if I come up with any panel ideas.

I've heard that the SEBC table is the place to go and meet fellow Browncoats, so I'm definitely planning on stopping by. Very true...the past couple of years the SEBC table has been the 'hanging out' spot for many Browncoats. It's a great way to put faces to all the online handles you see on the forums. Kevin

Check back with us in the coming weeks for the schedule listing. Now that the podcasting track's schedule is pretty much set I have a better idea of my availability in case you run short of panelists on any Firefly events. Just let me know. Thanks, Kevin
