And with Dawn comes Joyce. Lets not forget that he brought flowers after she died for no other reason than that she was a "nice lady." Think he saw his own mom in her a little bit?

Actually not really. I think Joyce was more of what a mom SHOULD be for Spike, but I think his own relationship with his mother was too dependant to be healthy. I think what he had with Joyce was way healthier, she was a support and a comfort to him. I loved that relationship.

okay, I'm adding the Joyce-Spike relationship to my list of talking points. Mostly cause I disagree with you on the point made above and want to talk about it more. So far I've got his pre vamp life, his mother's death and how it effected him as a vampire, his hunting of the slayers, and his relationships with dawn and Joyce as points I think we should hit. What about him being dubbed "champion"? Think he earned it?

What happened to the other points we discussed earlier? While I think Dawn warrants discussion, I think there's lots more than she and Joyce. I also think we don't want to avoid Buffy entirely because she is the impetus behind much of Spike's progression.
How long will this discussion be?

Hour and a half. And these are just the bullet points. Each has it's own tangents and subcatagories. Don't worry, we'll get as much as we can. If it's really worrying you, I can type up the EXTREME breakdown that I've got in my head, but keep in mind it's just a guideline

What about the difference in Spike being ensouled and Angel... Spike doesn't seem to have changed (much) after his soul... and Angel is like night and day.

It's not, I was just concerned that some of the other things we already discussed were gone in light of Dawn and Joyce. No worries!

As for the Angel vs. Spike thing... A lot of what I mentioned earlier applies... Spike is an unususal vamp, I'm still struggling to figure out if Angel is another anomaly or the norm for vampires.

I consider him an anomaly based on the simple fact that, although he is a human hybrid, the Judge stated that there was no humanity in him, something no other vampire had achieved. But that's another discussion for another time.
I think the Angel vs Spike issues can be summed up in one handy little bullet point:
Shanshu?

What about the coat? We could have some discussion the symbolism behind Spike's coat. And poetry? How Spike still (apparently) writes poetry?

Hey, I noticed that all of a sudden my name is listed as (athenamuze) in the beginning of this panel... Is there a reason for that I should be aware of? It looks like perhaps someone got me confused with someone else maybe? I'm not Jennifer anything... My actual name is Kim.

Those aren't in the budget, unfortunately and, besides, there are so many panels with so many different panelists, it wouldn't really make a difference. The chances of anyone at this convention remembering who you are because of a nameplate are slim to none, so we're counting on bubbly personalities to stick with people.

Just a suggestion... take it or leave it... it won't hurt my feelings either way! but if you have paper and a marker you can have the panelists write their name and set it in front of them (just fold over the paper). Maybe not for the panels with guests... but the others. I'm just saying 'cuz even at the Dark Horse panel at ComicCon I was wishing that the panelists had their names (since I was reporting on it, just made it easier) and the only person I really knew was Scott!

I won't specifically have anything that you can write your names on for the panels but if you guys want to do that on your own then that is perfectly fine.
